Delegation from the ministry of Heath
The mission director of the USAID and the
delegate from the Ministry of Heath did the official ribbon cutting.
Emmanuel Muyumba handed over the certificates to
the students.
The garden project was promised a phase 2 during which drip irrigation will be implemented.
The garden has received a lot of
accreditation for future support. The Town Council called Roshkor considered as
the municipality for the mining town, donated the premises on which the garden
was established. They will charge no rate or fees for the water and electrical
supply to the garden. They will also support the community in further needs for fertilizer, seeds, water buckets and the fencing of the garden.
Conclusion: Emmanuel will finalize the plan
for the drip installation and later on, implement it for the six tunnels. The government and the delegates from the
USA sees this as a good project that will close of the gap for malnutrition,
hunger and the lack of employment.
Emmanuel will provide further mentoring to
the garden, helping the students to reach financial sustainability with their garden.
